  • We provide a starter pack of toilet paper and paper towels for your stay. In terms of cleaning supplies, we provide all purpose cleaner, mop, handheld broom and pan, large broom and pan and an roomba irobot.

    You may need more depending on the length of your tay and number of guests staying. You can purchase more at your convenience at any local pharmacy or grocery shop.

  • Of course, with you in mind we created all areas of the house to be temperature controlled by you. This does mean you have control
    of each room and how warm and or cold you would like it.

    HEATER:
    All year round, each room has heater only thermostats on the walls including the hallways and bathrooms We also have a wood burning stove that will heat the entire home.

    AC:
    Individual units only in summer months.

  • We welcome guests of all ages, however, the property has not been child-proofed. It is important for young children to be under direct supervision of an adult during their stay, especially outdoors. Please note that our property has the following features:

    Open fire pits

    Ungated hot tubs

    We provide a pack-n-play (with bedding), child bath tub and walker. Guests using the pack-n-play do not count towards the occupancy limit.

  • Share, connect, and stream with ease. Already located at the top of a mountain, our chalet has a signal amplifier to help cell connectivity. In addition, our home is equipped with high-speed wifi for your convenience.

    Note: There is not a landline on the property.

  • We love dogs! With a $100 pet fee, 2 well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcomed.

    We ask that guests please observe the following dog rules:

    • Dogs may not be left unattended in unless crated (supplied upon request)

    • Clean up after your dog everywhere on the property.

    • Bring an old towel to clean paws upon entry

    • Bring a throw blanket for owners who let their dogs on the sofa (we ask that dogs not be allowed on beds)

    • Dogs under 8 months of age are not allowed on the property due to age liabilities

    • No other pets are permitted on the property without advance approval from the management

    • Dogs should be up-to-date on flea & tick treatments. Be sure to check them for ticks after spending any time outdoors (and be sure to check yourself as well!)

    • Dog owner assumes all responsibility and sole liability for any loss, injury or accident suffered by your dog while on the premises and for any damage or injury caused by the dog to the property or other persons

    • Casa La Luz is home to native wildlife of many different species, please don’t let your dog disturb or chase the wildlife

    • Dog hair/tracks on the furniture, linens, or floors will result in an additional $50/hr cleaning fee charged to the registered guest

  • Our home is not equipped with an EV charger, please plan accordingly.

  • You are welcomed to bring your boat but our home is not equipped with a boat pad and our driveway is on a hill. Please plan accordingly.

    Please only park your boat on the gravel and not on the dirt or grassy areas. The nearest boat slip to our home can be found at Pine Crest Marina on Lake Wallenpaupack.

  • Yes! While we do not offer these services directly, we can highly recommend local providers who would be pleased to work with you. Please contact us for more information.

  • We currently do not allow weddings or events but please contact us for a discussion.

  • We love hosting small celebrations. Here are a few conditions to note if you would like to host a private event:

    All guests must be listed in the reservation and fall within the maximum occupancy of the home (10 guests). The registered guest assumes sole responsibility for any damage caused to the property.

    During your stay, please be respectful of the property and tidy up prior to your departure: additional cleaning required will be charged at $50/hr

    Be mindful of outdoor noise, especially during the quiet hours of 11PM to 8AM: the reservation is subject to immediate and non-refundable cancellation if guests become disruptive, unruly, or there are unregistered guests on the property.

    No glitter. Anywhere. Seriously.

  • The entire property is available to you, so please make yourself at home. Only areas that are off limits (all with private signs) are the shed located in the backyard, the garage that has an access point via the ground floor family/game ro,m 2 storage closets - one located in the laundry area and the other in the primary suite closet.

  • They aren’t allowed without prior approval.
    Different rates apply please contact us.

TERMS & HOUSE RULES

  • We do not hold a deposit, however, registered guests must agree to be held liable for all damages to the property or other guests upon booking confirmation.

  • 50% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 14 days before arrival or earlier. 0% refundable if canceled after.

    Cancellation requests due to guest illness, injury, or personal matters will fall under our general cancellation policy.

    Weather is unpredictable, we do not offer refunds for inclement weather unless Pike County has issued a Level 2 or 3 road condition warning.

    Our credit card processor, Stripe, retains 3% of all transactions. In the event of a refund-qualifying cancellation, the 3% fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

  • Reservations

    Reservations are done through our direct booking management company Lodgify. Once you hit book now it will take you to their site to finalize payments which is managed via Stripe.

    Fees

    Reservation charges include, but are not limited to: cleaning fee, pet fee (if applicable), 6% state tax, and 3% local lodging tax. All fees are subject to change and to local regulations.

  • Check-in
    Contact-free check-in is from 4:00pm on your arrival date. Check in details, including your keyless entry code, will be sent the morning of your check in.

    Check out
    Is by 11:00am on the scheduled day; your access code will cease to work after this time.

    Late Checkout

    Unless agreed upon in advance with management, late checkout will be billed to the registered guest at $100/hour. In the event subsequent guests must be accommodated elsewhere the registered guest will also be billed the full cost of re-accommodating that guest.

  • Minimum rental age is 25. A copy of government-issued photo ID is required.

  • There are inherent risks of staying in a natural setting, including falling from a height, limbs/trees falling on the house or deck area, animals, insects, etc. These are risks that cannot be eliminated without changing the essential nature of the experience. All guests are responsible for their own actions during the course of their stay and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Casa La Luz, Apollo Pro Services, the property owners, property managers, gents and employees for damages or injuries to persons, their minor children, pets or property by reason of any cause either in or around the premises.

  • The registered guest assumes sole responsibility for any damage caused to the property. Casa La Luz reserves the right to charge the registered guest for any damage to the premises or excessive cleaning ($50/hour) necessary resulting from your stay.

  • Please leave the natural surroundings as you found them, which includes staying on marked trails, not removing any items from their original environment, collecting and properly disposing of all refuse, cleaning up after your dog, respecting the trees, wildlife, artwork and other guests.

  • No illegal substances allowed on the premises.

  • Not allowed on the property.

  • Smoking inside the home, outside the front door, on deck or screen porched aren't allowed. Smoking is allowed on grassy areas please use sand buckets to dispose of cigarettes.

    Littering outside, inside or around he home is not allowed.
